Madison Mural Project
Before coming into the University of the Pacific, I had the opportunity of designing and painting four murals for Madison Elementary through the CIP (Community Involvement Program).
The Rough Drafts

Tree Kids Illustration
I originally drew this illustration in Clip Studio Paint. This draft was meant to represent the unity within the Walls of Madison Elementary.
Butterfly Wall
For this wall, I wanted it to be a fun template for the kids to stand in front of and look as if they had wings.

Madison Mustangs Spirit
This draft was meant to show the Spirit of Madison Elementary, and contrast with the other three drafts.
UOP Tiger/Jungle Wall
I drafted this wall as a jungle because I thought it'd be a fun environment for the students at Madison Elementary, I also included UOP's Mascot: Powercat.

The Preparation and Final Outcome

Measuring and planning where to put the drafts.
Before starting the sketching process, we measured the walls and brainstormed potential ideas that would fit with both the school's theme and the size of the wall.
Finishing the First Draft
I had to revise and finish the first draft in order to make the drawing feel more complete.

Finalizing the colors for the drafts
After we sketched the rough drafts onto the hallways, I colored the photos to have a clear color palette for the volunteers that would be painting the murals as well.
Finalizing the drafts and painting!!!
After the drafts were approved, we moved forward with the painting process and I coordinated over 30 volunteers.
